What you get
Two of the calculators on this site can be placed on any web page with a few lines of HTML: the position size calculator and the pip value calculator. They are the same engine, formulas and results as the full tools, run inside the visitor's browser, so you do not need an account, a key or a server. They are made for trading blogs, course pages, forum signatures that allow HTML, broker comparison sites and anyone who answers the question "how many lots should I trade?" more than once a week.
- Free, with a link back. The code includes a one-line credit under the frame. Please keep it.
- Private by design. The embedded page sets no cookies, stores nothing in the visitor's browser, loads no analytics and makes no request to any other site. Everything it needs comes from minimalisttrading.com. The page that holds the frame remains subject to your own policies.
- Light, dark or automatic. It follows the visitor's device unless you fix the theme.
- Prefilled for your readers. Put your example account in the address and the frame opens with it.
Position size calculator
The same calculator as position size calculator, without the page around it. It works for stocks, futures and forex, and your readers can switch between them.
Copy the code
Start your readers with your own numbers
Add the values you want to the address in the embed code, after /embed/position-size. For example ?mode=forex&balance=25000&riskPct=0.5&entry=1.0850&stop=1.0820&target=1.0910 opens the calculator with those inputs filled in. The names are:
| Name | What it sets | Example value |
|---|---|---|
mode | stock, future or forex | forex |
balance | Account balance | 25000 |
riskPct | Risk per trade, in percent | 0.5 |
entry | Entry price | 1.0850 |
stop | Stop-loss price | 1.0820 |
target | Take-profit price (optional) | 1.0910 |
pointValue | Value of one price point per contract (futures) | 50 |
feesPerUnit | Fees per unit (optional) | 0 |
Use &theme=dark or &theme=light to fix the theme. The code uses a height of 1060 pixels, which fits a frame at least 700 pixels wide, where the inputs sit beside the results. In a column narrower than about 600 pixels the calculator stacks inputs above results and needs roughly 1,600 to 2,000 pixels, or the visitor scrolls inside the frame. Add &view=full to also show the charts and tables of the full calculator (taller still).
Pip value calculator
The same calculator as pip value calculator, without the page around it. It handles quote-currency, base-currency and cross pairs, any lot size and gold.
Copy the code
Start your readers with your own numbers
Add the values you want to the address in the embed code, after /embed/pip-value. For example ?mode=quote&lots=0.5&pipSize=0.0001&price=1.085&pips=25 opens the calculator with those inputs filled in. The names are:
| Name | What it sets | Example value |
|---|---|---|
mode | quote, base or cross: whether the account currency is the quote, the base or neither | quote |
lots | Lots | 1 |
lotUnits | Units per lot | 100000 |
pipSize | Pip size | 0.0001 |
price | Current price | 1.0850 |
rate | Exchange rate to the account currency (cross pairs) | 1 |
pips | Pips for the profit and loss figure | 20 |
Use &theme=dark or &theme=light to fix the theme. The code uses a height of 1180 pixels, which fits a frame at least 700 pixels wide, where the inputs sit beside the results. In a column narrower than about 600 pixels the calculator stacks inputs above results and needs roughly 1,600 to 2,000 pixels, or the visitor scrolls inside the frame. Add &view=full to also show the charts and tables of the full calculator (taller still).
Terms of use
- You may embed the calculators on any website, free of charge, for any lawful purpose, as long as the credit link under the frame stays visible and unchanged.
- Do not copy the calculators' code or content into your own pages, remove the credit, present the calculators as your own work, or resell them.
- The calculators are provided for education and planning, without warranty, and are not financial advice. Results depend on the inputs, and trading carries a risk of loss. You are responsible for how you present them to your visitors.
- The embed addresses may change or be withdrawn. Check this page if a frame stops working.
Accessibility and sizing
Frames need a fixed height because a page cannot read the height of another site's content. Use the heights in the code as a starting point and test on a phone. The calculator is keyboard friendly and uses the same controls as the full page. A frame placed in a column narrower than 360 pixels will scroll inside; give it the full width of your content area where you can.
If you only want to point readers to a calculator, link to the position size calculator or the pip value calculator directly, or open the instrument pages such as EUR/USD and gold, which carry the contract details.
Questions about embedding
Is embedding free?
Yes. There is no fee, account or key. The only condition is to keep the credit link under the frame.
Does the embedded calculator track my visitors?
No. The embedded page sets no cookies, stores nothing in the visitor's browser, loads no analytics and makes no request to any other site. Your own page may still do those things.
Can I change the colours or the text?
You can choose a light or a dark theme and prefill the inputs. The layout, labels and formulas stay as they are, so that every embed shows the same, checked numbers.
Will it work on my site builder?
Any builder that lets you paste HTML or an iframe works, including WordPress (custom HTML block), Ghost, Webflow and Notion embeds that accept a URL. Some builders strip iframes, in which case link to the calculator instead.
Why do I have to set the height?
Browsers do not let a page read the content height of a frame from another site, so a frame cannot resize itself without extra scripts on your page, which we do not ask you to add. Use the suggested height or more.
Do the embeds appear in search results?
No. The embed addresses are marked noindex so that the full calculators are the pages that rank; the credit link points to those pages.
