Who runs this site
Minimalist Trading (minimalisttrading.com) is operated by a.b. You can reach me by message on TradingView chat. This page explains what the site does with your data.
What the site collects without your consent
- Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as your IP address and browser type.
- Preferences stored in your browser. Your light or dark theme choice and your answer to the analytics question are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. They are not sent to me.
- Calculator inputs. The numbers you enter in the calculators are processed in your browser. They are never sent to a server.
- Fonts. Fonts are served from this site, so your browser does not contact Google to load them.
Analytics, only if you accept
If you choose Accept, the site loads Google Analytics 4. It records, in aggregate, which pages are visited, roughly where visitors come from, device and browser type, how long they stay, which calculators are used, and clicks on links to TradingView. It does not record the numbers you type into the calculators. Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_* and acts as a data processor for me. Google may process data outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards it relies on, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
If you choose "No thanks", Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set. The site works the same either way. A browser that sends the Global Privacy Control signal is treated as a "No thanks" automatically.
Legal basis
Analytics runs on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Hosting and security rely on the legitimate interest of keeping the site available and safe (Article 6(1)(f)).
Change your mind
Open Cookie settings at any time, here or in the footer of any page, and choose again. Declining deletes the analytics cookies on this site. Your choice is remembered for about six months, then you are asked again.
Retention
Analytics data is kept for a limited period set in the Google Analytics account and then deleted automatically. Your local preferences stay on your device until you clear your browser data.
Your rights
You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, restrict or object to its processing, request portability, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact me on TradingView chat. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. In Italy that is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

The site links to TradingView and other services. They have their own privacy policies, and this page does not cover them.
