Signal Charge

See a buy or sell signal building before it fires.

How it works

Charge is ATR-scaled momentum, smoothed and weighted by how straight price has moved. A charge of +1 locks a Buy at bar close and -1 locks a Sell. It is a relative momentum reading, not a probability.

What you see

  • Live gauge A ladder a few bars right of the last candle. Its top and bottom edges are the prices at which the open bar's close would lock a Buy or a Sell. Marks at 25%, 50% and 75% divide each side.
  • Price badges Show the exact lock price and its distance from price in ATR, for example BUY ≥ 67,420 / +0.4 ATR.
  • Status badge and countdown Reads CHARGE while momentum builds, LIVE when the lock level is reached on the open bar, and LONG or SHORT with bars and ATR once a stance is active. It turns amber when the stance is fading. A countdown shows the time until the bar locks.
  • Charge wake An aura below the lows when momentum builds up, above the highs when it builds down. Thicker means stronger.
  • Charge orbs A solid orb is a locked signal. A translucent ghost orb is a live signal that becomes solid only if it locks at the close. Buy sits below the candle, Sell above.
  • Stance strip, entry rail and candle heat A row of squares at the bottom shows the active stance. A dotted rail runs from the lock price while it lasts, and candles tint as charge builds.

How to use it

  • Read the gauge The price badges show where price must close for a lock. Lit segments show how far momentum has built. A ghost orb means the lock condition is met right now and becomes final at the close.
  • Manage the trade The entry rail marks the lock price. ATR since lock and the peak show the move so far and how far it is off its best. The amber fade level marks where the thrust would be considered finished.
  • Choose your pace Smooth is the default and gives steady, selective signals. Balanced reacts sooner. Fast reacts earliest and suits scalping.
  • Combine with your own analysis Pair it with your own levels, structure and risk rules. You decide whether and how to act, including position size.
  • Use the alerts Set alerts for locked signals, early charge warnings and fades, so you do not need to watch the chart.

Settings

  • Sensitivity Fast is an 8-bar EMA, Balanced 13, Smooth 21 (default). A longer window gives fewer, steadier locks.
  • Theme Aurora (default), Classic, Ice or Mono.
  • Display toggles Live gauge, charge wake, signal orbs, stance strip, entry rail and candle colouring are all on by default.
  • Lock level 1.0 by default. Higher gives fewer, later locks.
  • Fade level 0.15 by default. Higher ends stances sooner.
  • Gauge distance 3 bars by default. Keep free chart space on the right.

Alerts

  • Buy locked and Sell locked: confirmed at bar close.
  • Buy live and Sell live: fire intrabar as soon as charge reaches the lock level. Use Once Per Bar.
  • Buy charge 80% and Sell charge 80%: an early heads-up while the bar is open.
  • Thrust faded: fires when a stance returns to flat at the close.

Good to know

  • A lock confirms momentum that has already built, and arrives at bar close. The live gauge, ghost orbs, tint and wake are the preview. The close is the confirmation.
  • Faster settings react earlier and produce more signals. Smoother settings produce fewer, steadier ones.
  • Use regular candles or bars. Heikin Ashi, Renko and similar types use synthetic prices.
  • The first bars of a chart have no readings while the indicator warms up.
  • This is an indicator, not a strategy. No backtest, win rate or profit figures are published or implied.
