How it works
It fits a regression channel to the logarithm of price, so it follows percentage moves. The fit quality (R-squared) gates the phase, and the slope of the most recent third of the window versus the whole window sets the pace.
What you see
- Corridor A centre line plus outer and inner bands. The colour shows the phase: Steady (teal), Accelerating (amber), Cooling (violet), Rolling over (red), Drifting (soft blue) and Ranging (grey).
- Four-line chip The headline gives direction and phase. Line 2 gives the span and range. Line 3 gives your distance to the nearer border as a share of the range. An optional line 4 shows the phase on a higher timeframe.
- Projection fan For trending phases only: two what-ifs from the last close, one where pace holds and one where it fades.
- Phase ribbon A row of squares along the bottom shows the confirmed phase for each bar.
How to use it
- Read the headline first Teal means the recent pace matches the window pace. Amber means faster, violet slower, red opposite. Soft blue is a loose fit with a direction. Grey means no steady direction.
- Use the position line as range context A small percentage means price is near that border. 50% is the centre line. Outside means the close is beyond the corridor.
- Treat Ranging as information The chip then gives the range levels and where price sits in them.
- Use the higher-timeframe row as a backdrop Agreement or conflict with your chart timeframe is context only.
- Use the fan as two what-ifs It is arithmetic on the fitted slope, not a forecast.
Settings
- Timeframe profile Auto reads your chart timeframe and sets the window, confirmation and fade.
- Window mode and window Fixed uses one window. Auto-fit tests five windows with a stricter threshold. Set bars (60-800) to override.
- Minimum fit quality R-squared 0.70 by default. Raise it to see Drifting and Ranging more often.
- Loose-trend floor 0.35 by default. Sets where Drifting ends and Ranging begins.
- Corridor width 2.0 by default.
- Higher timeframe Auto picks one above your chart, or choose from 5m to 1Y.
- Projection horizon 50 bars, capped at half the fitted window.
Alerts
- Growth pace accelerating, Growth pace cooling and Trend rolling over.
- Ranging starts and Trend fit regained.
- Close above corridor and Close below corridor.
- All are checked on confirmed bars only, so each fires at most once per bar, at bar close.
Good to know
- Drifting is descriptive. It says a direction exists in the window, not that the trend is reliable.
- Ranging means no steady fit. It usually looks sideways but can also be choppy price.
- R-squared describes fit, not truth.
- The corridor, fan and chip are refitted on every bar and move as new bars arrive.
- Range borders are the outer band at the latest bar. They shift each bar and are not fixed support or resistance.
- This is not a strategy. No performance or win-rate claims are made.
